Doris L. Symes

Doris L. Symes, 84, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Brewster Place in Topeka. She was born on September 25, 1920, in Arkansas City, KS, the daughter of Lloyd and Sylvia Green Caster. She was a homemaker. Doris came to Topeka in 1971. She married Glenn L. Symes on June 14, 1942 in Arkansas City. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2002. Survivors include one son, Mike Symes and his wife Joyce of Wichita and one grandson, Jonathon Symes of Brownwood, TX. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Smith. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
