Doris M. Thompson Meyersick, 95, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. She was born February 28, 1928 in Neodesha, Kansas, the daughter of Oscar and Flora (Lennon) Long.
Doris was a homemaker and raised children.
Doris married Charles L. Thompson on November 4, 1947 in Topeka. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three children, Steve Thompson, David Thompson and Patty Thompson.
Survivors include four children, Maxine Bolte of Topeka, Karen Russell of Topeka, Sharon Miller of Topeka and Charlie Thompson of Topeka, ten grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and her two brothers, Jerry Long of Wichita and Jimmy Long of Renton, Washington.
Graveside inurnment services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Topeka Cemetery.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
