Dorothy Jean Burris died Friday, December 2, 2011. She was a longtime resident of Topeka, and worked for many years as a registered nurse. Dorothy was born in 1927 at Emporia, Kansas. Mrs. Burris is survived by four children; Lucy Foxman, Debra Lane, Robert Burris, and Louis Burris. She is also survived by her sisters, Helen, Leila, and Maryalice, a brother Elvin, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Jane Reed, and siblings Lucille, Virginia, Harold, Glen, Paul, and James.
