Dorothy Dean Fairchild

Dorothy Dean Fairchild, 86, of Topeka, passed away Nov. 27, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born at St. Mary's, Kansas, on May, 1, 1926, the daughter of Roman and Geraldine Schwalie.
She graduated from Hayden High School. She married Robert in Feb. 1943 in San Diego, CA and they shared 62 years until he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2006.
She is preceded in death by both parents, her son Bobbie, two brothers, one granddaughter, two great-grandsons, and her best friend, Dorothy Hauschild.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Fairchild, Wakarusa, her daughter, Gloria Wilson, Topeka, her daughter, Cynthia Pinkley (Fred), Gulf Breeze, FL, and her son, Chris Fairchild (Becky), Kansas City, MO; 4 grandchildren, Lisa (Gary), Jim (Callie), Michelle (Kevin), and Kevin; 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She would be celebrating her 88th birthday May 1 with her family and friends but she is celebrating in heaven with the loved ones that have been waiting for her there. Please help us celebrate Dorothy's life Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service and wish her a beautiful farewell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Joseph/Sacred Heart Parish, 333 Freeman Topeka, KS 66616.
