Dorothy F. Rake

Dorothy F. Rake, 90, of Tecumseh, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at her home. She was born on November 20, 1918 in rural Osage County, the daughter of William T. and Nellie Burson Vail. She graduated from Berryton High School and had resided in the Tecumseh area for the past 69 years. She was a member of Highland Heights Christian Church. Dorothy married Raymond D. Rake on March 8, 1939 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1999. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Zion Cemetery southeast of Topeka.
