Dorothy L. Voigt

Dorothy L. Voigt, 86, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
She was born September 1, 1925 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of William B. and Ann Cosgrove Davis. Dorothy resided in Glendale, CA before moving to Topeka in 1981. She was employed by the Santa Fe Railway for 44 years before retiring in 1984. Dorothy married Murry D. Voigt on June 3, 1982 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1998.
Survivors include her three sons, Brian M. (Jody) Voigt, Bruce G. (Kelly) Voigt, both of Topeka and Brad D. Voigt of Midothian, TX, four grandchildren, Riley, Sheridan, Luke and Drake, her sister, Claire (Anthony) Sapienza of Union City, CA, and her cousin, Deanna Stevens.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in the Mount Hope Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, KS 66506. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family.
