Dorothy L. Nolan

Dorothy L. Nolan, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Stormont-Vail hospital. She was born June 13, 1927 in Paola, Kansas, the daughter of James L. and Julia C. (Fischell) Morgan.
Dorothy graduated from Paola High School. She was employed at the Naval station in Olathe, Kansas and later volunteered in the library at St. John's Elementary School in Greeley, Kansas and served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary. Dorothy had resided in Topeka since 1982. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Dorothy married Francis Moews on February 3, 1947 in Paola, Kansas. They later divorced. She later married Raymond L. Nolan on August 30, 1984 in Springfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2010. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Angela (Moews) Potter and her siblings, Josephine (Julia) Matthews, Elnora Vohs and Jack Morgan.
Survivors include three children, Richard (Sharen) Moews of Lawrence, Kansas, Robert (Vickie) Moews of Lane, Kansas and Roberta (Patrick) Muckenthaler of Topeka, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her siblings, Virginia (Bill) Eddy of Baldwin City, Kansas and James (Linda) Morgan, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. Burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, Kansas 66506.
