Dorothy M. Sanschagrin, 97, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was born November 26, 1924 in Topeka, the daughter of Henry C. and Helen (Schultz) Luttjohann, Sr.
Dorothy graduated from Washburn Rural High School. She was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Good Sam's Camping Club. She enjoyed volunteering at LULAC, Stormont-Vail and the Marion Clinic.
Dorothy married Robert Sanschagrin. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her children, Thomas Dean Sanschagrin and James Douglas Sanschagrin, and her siblings, Barbara D. Luttjohann, Gloria Porter, Henry Luttjohann, Jr., John Luttjohann, Leo Luttjohann, Robert "Rube" Luttjohann, Kenneth Luttjohann and an infant sister.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Lori L. Sanschagrin-Bolte, Jason J. Sanschagrin and siblings, Jacqueline Borucki and Larry Luttjohann and several nieces and nephews.
No memorial services are planned and private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Phoenix Hospice Care, 2945 SW Wanamaker Dr., Suite B, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
