Douglas L. Kinsch

Douglas L. "Doug" Kinsch, 65, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. He was born February 7, 1958 in Topeka, the son of David L. and Virginia (Denney) Kinsch.
Doug graduated from Topeka High School and attended Kaw Valley VoTech. He was employed by Western Electric for several years. He enjoyed music and was a drummer for several bands. Doug was a motorcycle mechanic for Hogworks and was also a gunsmith. He was an excellent craftsman, working with wood and metal. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and the outdoors.
Doug married Teresa Guffy in February 1980. They later divorced.
Survivors include his mother, Virginia Kinsch, siblings, Debbie Steers and John (Kathy) Kinsch, his nieces, nephews, Jimi, Beth, Logan, Mindie, Jay, Janelle, Jake and Adam and several great-nieces and a great-nephew.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, David L. Kinsch and his siblings, David "Mike" Kinsch, Brenda Dolan and Greg Kinsch and his hunting companion, Libby.
A Celebration of Doug's Life will be held from Noon - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Rose Wood Event Venue, 3216 SW 29th St. in Topeka. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
