Duane Edward Nolting, Sr.

Duane Edward Nolting, Sr., 61, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014. He was born March 9, 1953 in Topeka, the son of Oscar Allen, Sr. and Loretta Lawton Nolting.
Duane attended Topeka High School. He was employed by Red Line Trucking Company. He was a member of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
Duane married Judy Kay Fisher on December 15, 1971 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Duane Nolting, Jr. of Topeka, Durmon J. Nolting of Dallas, TX, three grandchildren, Theresa, Devon and Damon, his mother, Loretta Lawton Nolting of Topeka, his siblings, Linda "Lucy" Jenkins of Topeka, Jerry Nolting of Topeka and Debra (Ron) Harris of Topeka. Duane was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Nolting and his brother, Oscar Nolting, Jr.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Duane will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
