Duane L. Dreyer (The Winemaker) , 77, of Hoyt, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017.
He was born October 8, 1940, in Douglas Co., Kansas, the son of Helen (Deskins) Brune and Cloyd Dreyer.
Duane retired from Goodyear in 1991. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 400. He enjoyed fishing, cobbling, and making wine.
Duane married Marian Tobias in 1958 and later married Bobbie Moore in 1973. Bobbie preceded him in death in 2010.
Survivors include children, David E. Moore, Dwayne Moore, Richard L. (Cheryl) Dreyer, Debra Dreasher, Randell W. (Rhonda) Dreyer, and Deirdre "Cissy" (Wayne) Mercer; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Duane was cremated. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66606. Memorial contributions may be made to Hoyt Rural Fire District #3.
