Dustin Cecil McKinney, 29, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014. He was born August 7, 1985 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Larry Cecil and Rebecca Nickelson McKinney.
Dustin graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 2003.
Survivors include his children, Kyler Cecil, Kaden Wesley and Elijah Rowe McKinney, his fiancé, Staci Liles, his mother, Rebecca Alonzo, step-father, Rudy Alonzo, his sisters, Janelle (Will) Mills and Angie (Kyle) Tardiff, his maternal grandparents, Phyllis and Bob Nickelson, his niece, Jaelyn Mills and two nephews, Camden Mills and Taron McKinney.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Cremation will follow and private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the McKinney Children's Educational Fund c/o Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka, KS 66605.
