E. "Dean" Sutton, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at a Topeka care facility. He was born October 1, 1930 in Topeka, the son of Emmett A. and Mildred M. (Wilson) Sutton.
Dean graduated from Harveyville High School, home of the Yellow Jackets. He earned a college degree from the University of Honolulu Hawaii. He and his immediate family operated Sutton's Food City for many years before closing on March 3, 1987. Dean was active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for many years where he made lots of friends and helped many people. He was very well liked and loved in the AA Community.
Survivors include two nephews, Greg Sutton of Topeka, Brent Sutton of Topeka, one niece, Sandra Pittman of Topeka and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Dean's Life will be announced at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
