Earl "Jack" Savely, Jr., 77, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at his home.
He was born January 15, 1935 in Pueblo, CO, the son of Earl J. and Cecil F. Volk Savely, Sr. Jack was an Army veteran. He was employed by the State of Kansas in the Department of Human Resources and the Department of Information Systems and Communications for 36 years before his retirement.
Jack married Jeannette A. Martin on July 22, 1958 in Wichita. She survives. Other survivors include three children, Jacque Ann (Bob) Murray, Terri Lynn Bezek, James Alan Savely, five grandchildren, Richard, Erin, Sarah, Rachel, Jackson and three great-grandchildren, Michael, Kenley and Teegan. Jack was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica and his brother, James C. Savely.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Michael J.
