Edith M. Wheeler

Edith M. Wheeler, 86, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. She was born December 29, 1927, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Toy and Ethel Long.

Edith married Albert Wheeler on June 29, 1968 in Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1993. Survivors include her daughters, Christine Crites and Roberta Segelquist (Dennis) of Topeka; sons, Bill Crites (Sandra) of Mayetta, and Jerry Crites (Melissa) of Blue Springs, MS; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and 11 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Albert.

A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 31st at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 S.W. 6th Avenue, Topeka. Cremation will follow the ceremony. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. A graveside inurnment service will be held at a later date at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka.
