Edmond L. Richardson, Sr.

November 30, 1934 — January 26, 2016

Edmond Lowe Richardson Sr. of Topeka died January 26, 2016 at Midland Hospice House. He was born November 30, 1934 in Strong City, Kansas, the son of Albert D. Richardson and Frankie Leona (Hager) Richardson.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, two bowling leagues and the Santa Fe Retirement Club.

He married Freda Webb. They were divorced. He married Sharon A. Schmidt on October 2, 1981.

He was preceded in death by Sharon on June 30, 2014, his son Daniel on June 29, 2015, his brother Albert Jr., and two sisters, Norma Livingston and Betty Elliott.

He is survived by two sons: Edmond Jr. (Augusta) and Michael (Joye), both of Topeka; brothers: Harold Richardson of Montgomery, AL, Francis Leon of Springdale, AR, Clifford and Robert (Jeannie) of Topeka; two sisters: Beverly Sanders of Boulder, CO and Dorothy McMullen (Michael) of Lenexa, KS; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1716 SW Gage, Topeka on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at a later date.
