Edmond "Ed" Renfro, 63, Tecumseh, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010.
Ed was born June 18, 1947 in Holton, the son of W. E. and Virginia (Chesnut)Renfro.
He graduated from Perry High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.
He worked for Kaw Valley Electric Coop for 28 years, retiring in 2007.
He was a member of Shawnee Heights Christian Church and the American Legion.
Ed married Diane Kennedy on August 25, 1979 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include daughter, Katherine Reich, Tecumseh; sons, Steven (Fernanda)Renfro, Madison, WI, Mark (Kristen) Renfro, Topeka; grandchildren, Shelby, Max, Oskar, and Cash; sister, Rita (Tim) Champ, Rushville, MO, Pam Cameron, Topeka; mother, Virginia Renfro-Burns; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
"It's been a hell of a ride"
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow at Lynn Creek Cemetery. Ed will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. today.
