Edna May (Bulk) Bisel, 85, of Topeka, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019.
She was born May 18, 1934, in Riley County, Kansas, the daughter of Henry H. and Martha M. (Wiechman) Bulk. She was a 1951 graduate of Topeka High School.
Edna was employed by the State of Kansas for 24 years, retiring in 2001.
Edna married Ralph Bisel on April 27, 1953. They later divorced. Survivors include her children, Ken C. (Denise) Bisel, Stilwell, KS, Jerry Bisel, Topeka, Nancy K. Bisel-Hur, Topeka and David D. (Jennifer) Bisel, Topeka; nine grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Bisel, twins, Brittney and Branden Bisel, Paul (Melinda) Bisel, Kristin (Michael) Alvarez, Lisa (Patrick) Mitchell, Bret (Megan) Hur, Danica and Ella Bisel; 12 great-grandchildren and one expected; and her sister, Ruby Mark, Meriden, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Irene Harrison; and two brothers, Otto and Herb Bulk.
Edna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
