Edna Chapel, 97, Topeka, formerly of Salina, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011.
She was born September 16, 1914 in Delphos, Kansas to Charles Milton Allison and Minnie Eleanor Francis Allison.
Edna owned and operated the Plaza Style Shop in the Sunset Plaza Shopping Center, Salina Kansas for over 20 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Salina.
Edna married Charles Kenneth Chapel on December 6, 1933 in Solomon, KS. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Kay (Whitey) Quintin and Carol (Cliff) Gideon all of Topeka; 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; son-in-law, John Wynn of Checotah, OK and daughter-in-law, Jeanneane Chapel of Lindsborg, KS.
Edna was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAn Rowlan-Wynn in 2001 and son, Charles Eugene "Gene" Chapel in 2007.
A graveside inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3 at Highland Cemetery in Minneapolis, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Prospect Mountain Therapeutic Riding Center for Handicapped Children, 7471 FM 3094, Scurry, TX 75158. Dove Cremation and Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
