Edna Mae Wade, 68, Carbondale, passed away Wed., Aug. 27, 2008, at Midland Hospice House.
She was born on March 13, 1940, in Topeka, the daughter of Floyd and Marguerite Coffman.
Edna married Robert G. Wade in Topeka on May 7, 1956. He survives.
She was a loving wife of 52 years; mother, grandmother and great-grandmother!
She enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, camping, boating; the simple things in life; sitting on the porch and enjoying her grandchildren.
Edna is survived by two daughters: Diana Clelland, Delena (James) Cobb, three sons: Gary of Hutchison, Robert Jr. of McClouth, Michael of Carbondale, two sisters: Barbara Vail, Mary Bradshaw; one brother, Bill Coffman; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Wade; sister, Shirley Ann and granddaughter, Brittany June Wade.
A visitation will be held between 5:00-7:00 p.m., Mon., Sept. 1, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Avenue. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tues., Sept. 2, 2008 at Topeka Free Methodist Church, 3450 SE Indiana, Topeka.
