Edward Dean Bowler, 49, Auburn, passed away Tuesday, January 03, 2006. Dean, as he was known by family and church friends, was born in Loma Linda CA, the son of Lyle and Bessie Bowler. They Survive.
Dean worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for nearly 27 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served faithfully as a member of the Bishopric. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing, but mostly he enjoyed just spending time with his family. Dean was loved and he will be missed greatly by all his family and friends.
Dean was married to Diane Marie Taylor in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for time and all eternity. Dean was a very attentive husband and wonderful father to his children, Eddie, Dustin, Kirsten and Matthew Bowler. They survive.
Other survivors include his sisters, Tanya Tetreavit, and Kris Bowler, a brother Tony Bowler, grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Gary Lyle Bowler, and Kim Gentry Bowler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3611 Jewell, Topeka. Dean will lie in state at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church for friends to call. The casket will remain closed. Interment will follow services at Auburn Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
