Edward F. Anzek, 77, Topeka, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
He was born Oct. 8, 1930 in Kansas City, KS, the son of Leopold and Mary Majerle Anzicek.
Mr. Anzek worked for Airco Industrial Gases for 30 years before retiring in 1985. He lived in Clinton, IA for 6 years and in Lawrence for 10 years before moving to Topeka in 1980.
He married Marion Iona Lippold on Sept. 8, 1967 at Grace Lutheran Church in Kansas City, KS. She died May 17, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a twin sister, Sister Elizabeth Anzicek; two other sisters, Mary Buncie and Francis Bittner; and two brothers, Stanley Anzick and Pete Anzicek.
Survivors include four sons, Vaughn Anzek of Kansas City, KS, Kevin Anzek of Loveland, CO, Trent Anzek of Phoenix, AZ, and Lee Anzek of North Augusta, SC; two sisters, Catherine Anzicek and Dorothy Perlik, both of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Leo Anzicek of Kansas City, MO; brother-in-law, Robert File of Stockton, MO; sister-in-law, Mary Maupin of Leavenworth; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Serenity Columbarium at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
