Eileen Marie Stambaugh

Eileen M. Stambaugh, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Midland Hospice House. She was born on August 15, 1922 in Meade, Kansas to Judd and Viola (Coon) Denslow.
Eileen graduated from Topeka High School. On August 31, 1941, she married Merle J. Stambaugh in Topeka. She was an active member of Tecumseh United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Larry G. (Pamela) Stambaugh of San Diego, CA and Brent G. (Gloria Tibbetts) Stambaugh of Las Cruces, NM; her brother, Clyde Denslow of Inman, KS; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Merle and her brother Floyd Denslow.
A graveside ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27 at Topeka Cemetery. Eileen will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 26 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
