Elaine D. King, 77, Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at a local care center.
Elaine was born March 16, 1931 in Tampa, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Lenhart) Ottensmeier.
She worked as a clerk in the Department of Alcohol Beverage Control, State of Kansas for 17 years.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Elaine married Rubin King on March 14, 1958 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Kevin King, Topeka; and brother, Roy (Betty) Ottensmeier, Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Entombment will follow in Mount Hope Mausoleum. Mrs. King will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Friday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
