Eldora I. Whaner, 93, of Topeka, died Monday, November 15, 2004 at a Topeka care facility. She was born on November 2, 1911 at Dillon, Kansas, one of eight children born to Clarence and Anna Mae Tolbert. She attended Stricklers Business College and graduated from Black Hills St. University in Spearfish, South Dakota where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Special Education. She was employed as a Special Education Teacher for Topeka Public School District 501 until her retirement. Survivors include one brother, Arthur Tolbert and one sister, Lucille Stauffer both of Topeka and four generations of nieces and nephews. Cremation took place. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
