Eldora Larson, 93, of Topeka passed away July 3, 2007 in Blue Springs, MO. She was born June 25, 1914 on a farm near Mercier, KS, the daughter of Frank and Mary Bowen Nyfeler. She graduated from Hiawatha High School in 1932. She then attended and graduated from Stewart Beauty Academy in Topeka and worked several years as a beauty operator. Eldora then spent 11 years working for the income tax department for the State of Kansas. In later years, she worked as the bookkeeper for the YWCA in Topeka. She is survived by a daughter Loyce Taylor of Blue Springs, MO and three grandchildren; Elizabeth Taylor Score of Chicago, Heidi Taylor of Blue Springs, MO, and Chip Taylor of Joplin, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Larson, and a brother Harold Nyfeler.
Graveside services will be held at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Larson will lie in state at Newcomer Family Funeral Home in Topeka with a family visitation from 10:00 to Noon Tuesday, July 10 at the funeral home, prior to the graveside service.
