Elizabeth Ann Carman

Gatwood Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Carman, 89, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Midland Hospice Care. She was born November 28, 1922 in Long Beach, CA, the daughter of Hobart and Marguerite (Wagner) Roudebush.
Betty was raised in Topeka, graduated from Topeka High School, and attended Kansas University. She married Fred Carman on October 24, 1942 in Orange, CA. Betty was a lifetime member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and enjoyed playing bridge.
Betty is survived by her children, Carol Witten, Topeka, Rich Carman (Fran), Green Bay, WI, Roger Carman (Vicki), West Palm Beach, FL, Randy Carman (Loretta), Topeka; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Fred.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 6th at the Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St. in Topeka. The family will have a visitation one hour prior to the service.
