Elizabeth Ann Beutler

Elizabeth Schoonover Beutler, 82, passed away on August 22, 2017 at her home.
Elizabeth was born September 18, 1934 in Wethersfield Township, Kewanee, Illinois, the 3rd daughter of Harlan Schoonover and Monghild Ellen Johnson Schoonover.
She moved to Topeka, Kansas in 1954. She was married to L. Clifford Beutler January 13, 1956. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2012. She had two children, Rebecca Beutler (Hank) Miller and William L. (Mollie) Beutler both of Topeka.
Elizabeth graduated from Wethersfield High School in Kewanee, attended Western Illinois University at Macomb, Illinois and Lattimore-Fink School for Medical Technology with a subsequent degree in Medical Technology from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas. She was a registered Medical Technologist with the college of Pathologists since 1955.
She was employed as a Medical Technologist at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, as well as Damon Laboratories and Roche Biomedical Laboratories. She retired in 1999.
Ms. Beutler was in two fraternal honor societies at Western and was also active in Kansas Society for Medical Technologists. She belonged to the First Baptist Church in Topeka where she participated on various boards and church activities. She taught the Berean adult Sunday school class at the First Baptist Church for 30 years.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George.
She is survived by her children, four grandchildren; Daniel Miller, James Beutler, Abigail Miller and Haley Beutler and two sisters; June Jacobs of Kewanee, Illinois and Beverly McElroy of Tucson, Arizona.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 3033 SW MacVicar Ave, Topeka, KS 66611. The family will greet friends from 11:00am-1:00pm the day of the service. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery, 1601 SE 10th Ave # 1, Topeka, KS 66607.
