Elizabeth Jane Fisher

November 25, 1958 — May 23, 2020

Elizabeth Jane "Liz" Fisher passed away on May 23, 2020 at the age of 61 due to COVID-19 complications. Elizabeth was born in Topeka, KS on November 25th, 1958 to Joyce and Craig Irwin. She attended Topeka West High School and Washburn University. She married the love of her life Steven Fisher on May 17th, 1980. She has two children, Craig Ruis Fisher and spouse David Ruis Fisher and Ashley Fisher Christiansen and spouse Chad Christiansen and three grandchildren, Peyton, Paxton and Paisley Christiansen and two step grandchildren, Oliva and Emily Christiansen.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband Steven, children Craig & Ashley, grandchildren, Sisters Pam Head (Jim), Barbie Kelso (Gary), mother in law, Diana Fisher and many brother-in-law's and sister in-laws and 12 nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her mother and father, Joyce Irwin and Craig Irwin and her sister Marybeth Irwin.

Elizabeth dedicated herself to her family, to helping those in her life, creating joy and happiness for those around her and to making people laugh. Elizabeth found joy in creating, crafting and making. She is a member of the Gamma Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She was a woman with the biggest heart, the most love for those around her and one of the funniest people in the world. She was more than just a wife, mother, grandmother, sister or daughter. She was an absolute miracle on earth.

Due to the nature of Elizabeth's death, the family is asking if you plan to attend the visitation that you please follow ALL CDC guidelines and recommendations. Please make sure you are wearing a mask and/or gloves. Please sanitize your hands and faces before and leaving the chapel and maintain social distance when waiting to pay your respects.

Visitation will be held June 6th, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be a private, family only service. A video recording of the service will be available on this website soon. The family will be holding a graveside service at a later date once it is safe to do so.

Memorial Contributions can be made to SCARS (Second Chance Animal Refuge Society in Auburn Kansas. Located at P.O. Box 22, Auburn, Kansas 66402.
