Ellen C. (Butler) Horgan

Ellen C. (Butler) Horgan, 97, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Rolling Hills Nursing Home.
She was born January 1, 1917, in Haverstraw, New York, the daughter of Terrence and Mary Butler.
On April 23, 1945, in Union City, New Jersey, Ellen married Henry J. Horgan. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Henry J. (Ernestine) Horgan, Jr.; beloved sister, Francis Koster; grandchild, Daryl (Corinne) Rakoski; great-grandchildren, Jackie, Brittany, and Jason; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet St. John.
Ellen was cremated. A graveside inurnment will be at a later date in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Edwin Petrik for his wonderful medical care, which enabled Ellen to live a long and healthy life.
