Ellen Johnson, 92, formerly of Aurora, Colorado passed away January 28, 2017. She was born to Albert Clifton and May Bell (Toadvin) Johnson on October 3, 1924 in Accomac County, Virginia.
She married William G. Uhler III. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Gus Makaritis, her daughter Carol Ellen Uhler of Parker Colorado and her daughter-in-law Bertha Uhler.
Ellen is survived by her sons William G. Uhler IV (Jennie) of Topeka and Robert David Uhler of Fort Spokane, Washington; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ellen owned and operated Harmony Decorators in Denville, New Jersey. Later she worked as the office manager for A & R Decorators also in Denville. When she retired she moved to Heather Gardens in Aurora, Colorado and owned and operated Prime Time Restaurant in Parker, Colorado.
She enjoyed flower gardening and took care of several large flower beds in Heather Gardens in Aurora and was known for her exotic plantings. She was also an accomplished artist in oils and acrylics.
No memorial service is planned. Ellen will be inurned at Green Bush, Virginia.
