Ellen Roberts

Ellen Pearl Roberts, 86, of Topeka, passed away, Monday, February 13, 2006 at her home.

She was born May 12, 1919 in Topeka, the daughter of Lewis F. and Zella F. (Janes) Wilson.

Mrs. Roberts worked as an elevator operator at the Mills Building several years.

Ellen was a member of the East Topeka United Methodist Church.

She married Z. F. "Toad" Roberts December 20, 1938. He preceded her in death May 9, 1975. Survivors include, her son, Richard L. Roberts, Topeka, KS; her sister, A. Meree Alumbaugh, her grandchildren, Richard L. Roberts, Jr. and Kimberly A. Dayton, her great grandchildren, Joshua G. Roberts, Charles J. Roberts, Ashley N. Roberts, Shelby N. Dayton and Spencer N. Dayton, and one great great grandson, Gabriel T. Roberts She was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis "Bob" R. Wilson and her great grandson Christopher D. Roberts

Mrs. Roberts will lie in state after 10:00 a.m., Friday at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friday. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Mission Center Cemetery, 29th and Urish Road, Topeka, Kansas.
