Elmar Mast

Elmar "Fred" Mast, 86, of Meriden, passed away on August 26th, 2011. He was born July 29, 1925 in Osage County, KS son of the late Morris Mast and Anna (Langston) Mast.
Fred married Rosie Bailey January 13, 1955 in Oklahoma. They lived in Topeka and later moved to Meriden, KS. He served in the United States Navy during WWll. He was retired from Capital City Oil, Topeka, KS.
Through the years Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. One of his most favorite pastimes was watching the old classic western movies. He also enjoyed working around his home and visiting with his neighbors and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Mast; son Lon Mast, Texas; son Lee Mast, Meriden, and daughter Cheryl (Dale) Davenport, Hoyt; brother Carroll Mast, Topeka; sister Vondalee Turner, Hoyt; and three grandchildren; Kristin Davenport, Salt Lake City, UT; Mark (Breeanna) Davenport, Lenexa, KS and Dylan Davenport, Hoyt. He was preceded in death by a sister, Celia "Nadine" Turner.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 2, 2011 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00am prior to the memorial service.
