Elsie M. "Ellie" Manning, 78, Topeka, died Friday, September 17, 2004 at a Topeka nursing facility.
She was born July 8, 1926 in Wamego, the daughter of Henry and Cora Horst. She spent most of her life in Topeka.
Mrs. Manning was a licensed day care provider for over 20 years before retiring due to ill health.
Survivors include her daughter, Nina Underwood and husband Roger, her son, Marvin Manning and wife, Janet, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. A visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 pm Wednesday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 4020 SW 6th Ave.
Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, 66617.
