Emma J. Henderson, 64, of Topeka, went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 26, 2021 at a Topeka hospital. She was born August 5, 1957 in Topeka, the daughter of Billy Joe and Doris Henderson.
Emma graduated from Topeka High School. She was employed as a CNA/CMA. She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, Billy D. Henderson, DaShanta M. Holmes, David L. Holmes III, six grandchildren, one great-grandson, her mother Doris Henderson, her siblings, Ruby Walker, Delores Henderson, Jerry Henderson and Lizzie Banks and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Emma was preceded in death by her father, her son, David L. Holmes, Jr. and her siblings, Billy Joe Henderson, Jr. and Larry Henderson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
