Eric E. Ferrier, 36, Topeka, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Eric was born March 25, 1978 in Topeka, the son of Charles and Diana (Traphagan) Ferrier. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1997.
He was an Eagle Scout.
He had been employed as a Maintenance Technician with Atria Hearthstone for the past 10 years and previously worked at Lewis Auto Salvage.
Eric married Melissa Miller on September 12, 1998. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Kaitlyn, Austin, Brianna, and a son to be born in June, Winston James Ferrier; father, Charles E. Ferrier, Topeka; and grandmothers, Mildred Traphagen, Hoyt, and Lois Traphagen, Topeka. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at First Southern Baptist Church, 1912 SW Gage. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road.
