Erma Lorene Maxwell

Erma Lorene Maxwell, 95, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022.
She was born September 6, 1926 in Lecompton, Kansas, the daughter of John and Mattie Magdalen Matney.
Erma moved to Topeka after graduating from Lecompton Rural High School in 1943.
She attended Clark's Business School and was employed by Alliance Insurance Company and State Farm Insurance Company. On October 18, 1948 she became employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. She retired from Goodyear in May 1987 after 39 years of service.
Erma was a member of the Women of the Moose and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #400.
Erma married Arlie W. Kampschroeder on October 8, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1965. She remarried to Claude C. Maxwell on October 30, 1969. Claude also preceded Erma in death on April 18, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Gayle Kampschroeder of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Honoring Erma's request cremation has taken place. No services have been scheduled at this time.
