Ethel Elaine Tejeda

Ethel Elaine Tejeda, Elaine to her friends and family, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011. She leaves three children; Carrie, Melissa and Jesse, six grandchildren; Sunasia, Tre, Tristain, Serena, Tavian and Tyler, her mother, Velma Werth, three sisters; Joyce, Karen and Stacy, as well as her many nieces and nephews. In death, she will be reunited with her father Donald, brother Dean and granddaughter Sylesia.
Elaine was a loving, happy person who lived life to the fullest. She inspired others to be happy. Elaine cared for others and was quick to offer what she had so no one was without. Elaine loved to crochet and sew. She was very crafty. She also loved to garden and planted one wherever she lived.
Elaine graduated from Highland Park High School, moved on to nursing school and became an LPN. She cared for people for many years before returning to school to obtain a degree in horticulture.
Those who know Elaine know she only wants the best for you. She wants you to be happy and to know she loves you with all her heart.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 27, from noon to 4:00 pm at 300 NW Grant in Topeka. Lunch will be served at the service, and the family requests contribution of a covered dish for those attending.
