Ethel L. Ingram, 96, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Twilight Manor in Howard, KS. She was born on May 24, 1914 in Ames, IA to James and Mary Knight. She was a member of First Baptist Church in both Topeka and Howard.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Cookson of Howard; daughter-in-law Patricia Ingram of Federal Way, WA; eight grandchildren, Chuck (Jeannie) Sawyer, Kim Stone, Tim Stone, Laura (Randy) Dyer, Jeri (Sean) Mahaffey, Tammy (Bret) Moran, Dawn (Pete) Scalzo, Brian Ingram and Robert (Cheryl) Ingram; 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William in 1963, companion, Frank Kemp in 2001, her son James in 2007 and a granddaughter, Diana K. Sawyer in 1956.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30 at Mt. Olive Cemetery near Troy, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Howard, 135 N Cedar, Howard, KS 67349.
