Eula Mae Wenger, 92, Topeka, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at her home.
Eula Mae was born March 28, 1927 in Scranton, the daughter of Jacob L. and Coda S. (Burnett) Nicolay. She grew up in Quenemo.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for several doctors in the Topeka area, and was an operating room technician at Stormont-Vail, St. Francis, and Memorial Hospitals.
Eula Mae married Lester L. Wenger on June 13, 1948 in Quenemo. They later divorced. Survivors include daughter, Ginger (Loren Lewis) Paige, Leesburg, FL; sons, Gary (Teresa) Wenger, Kim Wenger, both of Topeka; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dorothy Clinkscale and Velma Hotchkiss, and late-in-life close friend Clyde Holscher.
Eula Mae loved to dress up in her beautiful clothes, colorful shoes, dazzling jewelry and go dancing. She was a mother who dearly loved her family, a caregiver and nurse to others, and a Methodist who loved the Lord. She was a loyal KU Basketball fan that enjoyed watching and listening to all their games. Eula Mae loved to travel and enjoyed her many trips to Hawaii. She will be missed by family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Community Church, 1819 SW 21st, Topeka, KS.
