Eunice Marie Kershner

Eunice Marie Kershner, 84, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

She was born March 26, 1936, in Clay Center, Kansas, the daughter of Harry Wilson Bisel and Bertha Amanda (Thrush) Bisel. She attended Topeka High School.

Eunice was employed as a resident assistant for the Topeka Housing Authority, retiring in January of 2021.

Eunice married Raymond Joseph Kershner on June 13, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1983. Survivors include her children, Byron (LeAnn) Kershner of Omaha, Nebraska, Cheryl Belshe of Topeka, Joseph Kershner of Topeka, Janet Hutton (Barry) of Soldier, Kansas, and Diane Allen (Floyd) of Topeka; grandchildren Amanda Kershner-Aksamit (Daniel), Cody Kershner, Anthony Kershner, Hannah Belshe, Jessica Kershner, Melissa Kershner, Raymond Kershner (Heather Cornwell), Tyler Hutton, Tanner Hutton, Chanaya Kershner, Illycia Allen and Isaac Allen; great-grandchildren Colin and Ellie Aksamit, Brielle Belshe, MaRyah Phelps, Myla Wilson, Joseph King Kershner, Paris Ray Kershner, Jacob Hutton and Naomi Tolbert; siblings Dale Bisel, David Bisel, Bertha Mary Bisel-Golden, and Ralph Bisel. She was preceded in death by her husband; siblings Bennison Bisel, Hazel Bisel-Luthi, Alma Bisel-Sundstrom, Grant Bisel, Marvin Bisel, Nadine Bisel-Atwood, Goldie Bisel-Gertler, and Naomi Bisel.

Eunice enjoyed playing the organ and piano in church. She also enjoyed cooking, reading cookbooks and sharing her love and kindness with others.

Eunice was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 6th at Dove Cremations and Funerals - Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Private interment of the cremated remains will be at Prairie Home Cemetery at a future date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics Kansas Northeast Area, 103 S. 4th Street, Manhattan, KS, 66502.
