Eva Langhofer, 95, of Topeka, died March 5, 2015 in Topeka, Kansas. She was born September 21, 1919 near Lincolnville, KS, the daughter of David and Catherine Lorei. Eva had eight siblings and grew up on a farm near Ramona, Kansas.
Eva married Johnny Langhofer in 1935 and together they lived on a farm near Woodbine, Kansas. When they retired, they lived in Abilene for a number of years. Eva and Johnny eventually built a home in Topeka. She was preceded in death by her husband and infant son.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine (Geri) Brown; 3 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
Eva will be fondly remembered for her love of flowers and baking cookies for her family and friends. She looked forward to the Resurrection and being with her loved ones. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses, Colly Creek Congregation.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th St. Topeka Kansas 66606. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
