Eva Frances Sanson

Eva Frances (Parkey) Sanson, 91, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

She was born August 4, 1929, in Livingston County, Missouri, the daughter of Willard Newton and Clara Belle (Dowell) Parkey. She attended school in Kansas, Missouri, and Arizona and graduated from Chillicothe (MO) High School in 1947.

Eva was employed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment for 28 years, retiring in 1996.

Ms. Sanson was a member of the Chillicothe Baptist Church. She was a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader and a Den Mother in Chillicothe.

Eva married Charles David Sanson in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1986. Survivors include her children, Linda Diane Martin of Topeka, Larry David Sanson of Topeka and James Alan Sanson (Christine) of Cove City, NC; grandchildren Nicole Regina Martin (Michael) Kelsey of Bedford, NH, step-grandchildren Todd Martin of Topeka, and Gaetano and Jamie Capiello of Cove City, NC; great-granddaughter Madison Elizabeth Kelsey of Bedford, NH, step-great-grandchildren Sean and Ky Le Grover and Patrick and Michael Capiello, all of Cove City, NC; sister Donna (Parkey) Schnitker; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Harold Parkey, Roger Parkey, Chester Parkey, and Howard Parkey; sisters Laveene (Parkey) Clayton and Lorraine (Parkey) Clement.

Eva enjoyed family, traveling, gardening and decorating. She was an avid Chiefs fan.

Eva was cremated. Interment will be at Resthaven in Chillicothe at a future date.
