Evelyn "Laly" Bell, 88, Shawnee, KS formerly of Topeka, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.
Mrs. Bell was born November 6, 1927 in Topeka, the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy (Elliott) Chipman.
Evelyn married Elbridge "Jiggs" Bell on January 5, 1946 and they shared 62 years of marriage before his passing on September 3, 2008. Survivors include sons, Barry (Charlotte) Bell, Shawnee, KS, Howard (Sandy) Bell, Paso Robles, CA; grandchildren, Zoey Head, Dylan Bell, Steven Voelkel, Lori Couch; and sister, Helen "Tootie" Cantwell, Topeka.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road.
Private burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Foundation.
