Everett Haselwood, 87, of Berryton, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at a Topeka hospital. He was born November 29, 1927 in Glasco, KS, the son of Everett E. and Ethel McClellan Haselwood.
Everett graduated from Berryton High School in 1945. He farmed for many years.
Everett was a member and served as Governor of Moose Lodge No. 555, and was a member of the Farm Bureau.
Everett married Eula B. Dickeson on December 25, 1948 in Hiawatha, KS. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Nancy (Greg) McLemore of Juneau, Alaska, Bob (Judy) Haselwood of Berryton, Bill (Vicky) Haselwood of Cherryvale, Kansas and Ed (Lori) Haselwood of Clay Center, Kansas, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and his sister, Martha Brown of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Noel, Anson, and Dale and his daughter-in-law, Nancy Neely Haselwood.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will take place at a later date. Everett will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, August, 11, 2015 at the funeral home.
