Fannie "Lou" Crites, 73, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at her home.

She was born June 26, 1938 in Harlan County, KY, the daughter of Leonard and Grace Hubbard Brock. Lou has resided in Topeka since 1957. She was employed by the Caravan Club in Topeka for over 20 years. After retiring, Lou was a devoted caregiver for her grandchildren and family.

Lou married Jack A. Crites in September, 1970. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Barbara (Mike) Brown, Cheryl (Skip) Brading, and Robyn Crites, all of Topeka, six grandchildren, Mike, Katie, Chad, Melissa, Cyril and Obryn, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, Dan (Cathy) Brock and two sisters, Lucy Brock and Sarah (Ed) Bartlett. Lou was preceded in death by one daughter, Shawna Pittle in 1980.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Lou will lie in state from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the organization of the donor's choice.
