Flora C. Natalie, 91 of Topeka, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Brewster Place in Topeka. She had been a resident of Drury Place. Flora was born in Palmer, Kansas on July 8, 1915, the daughter of William and Nora Debrick Roetter. She grew up near and worked in the community of Linn, KS. She and her husband later relocated to the Richland, KS area and were involved in farming for many years. Flora was employed by the First National Bank of Topeka for 15 years before she retired. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed making clothes and quilts, crocheting and garage sales. She had been a member of Hope Lutheran Church since 1954 and was involved in many church activities. Prior to her short stay at Brewster Place, Flora resided for 4 1/2 years in the Drury Place Retirement Community where she enjoyed life in the company of her many friends. Flora married Charles "Chuck" Vincent Natalie on September 12, 1934. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1961. Mrs. Natalie is survived by a son Kirk Natalie and his wife Jacquelyn of Topeka, a daughter, Collette Ryan and her husband William of Topeka; three grandchildren, Kevin Natalie of Topeka, Paul Ryan of San Francisco and Natalie Ryan of Topeka. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren; Aaron Natalie of Lawrence, Connor Natalie and Haley Canfield of Topeka and two sisters, Wilma Trumble of Linn, KS and Ruby Bennett of Lansing, MI. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Flora will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to Hope Lutheran Church, 2626 S.E.
