Florence E. Stratton

Florence E. Stratton, 87, of Wathena passed away on July 10, 2004 at a Topeka hospital. She was born August 31, 1916, the daughter of Martin Van Stratton & Mary Williams Stratton.

Florence attended Wathena High School and Emporia State Teachers College. She also taught at Palermo, KS; Elwood, KS; Wathena High School; Floyd Elementary School in St. Joseph and Porter Elementary School in Prairie Village from 1959-1981. Florence also taught Sunday School at Wathena United Methodist Church. She belonged to Delta Kappa Gamma, Retired Teachers Association, and United Methodist Women.

Memorial Services will be held at Wathena United Methodist Church at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 24, 2004.

Burial will be in Belmont Cemetery, Wathena, KS.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Wathena United Methodist Church, Wathena, KS 66090.
