Frances Mary Burke, 92, of Topeka, passed away April 12, 2012 at Presbyterian Manor. She was born June 23, 1919 in Yonkers, New York, the daughter of Alex and Julia (Lee) Robbins.
Frances married Richard F. Burke on October 23, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was also preceded in death by three of her children, Howard A. Burke, Robert Bruce Burke and Patricia Ann Adams.
She is survived by her children: James T. Burke (Topeka, KS), Richard F. Burke (Lawrence, KS), and Kathy Cone (Wichita Falls, TX); her grandchildren: Bill Cone (Arlen, TX), Travis Cone (Wichita Falls, TX), Amy Fagan (Wichita Falls, TX), Orion Von Ontjes (Kansas City, KS), Tommy Burke and Robin Burke (both of Topeka, KS), Chad Keith (Austin, TX), and Julie Burke (Blacksburg, VA); and 10 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
A memorial service will be held 1:30PM on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Topeka Presbyterian Manor Chapel, 4712 SW 6th Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to the C.A.T. Association of Topeka, 1719 SW Gage Blvd. Topeka, KS 66604 or Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd. Topeka, KS 66617.
