Frank Cervantez, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born April 11, 1932 in Topeka, the son of Lorenzo and Maria (Peralta) Cervantez.
Frank was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for 43 years before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he was very active within the church.
Frank married Amelia Valdivia on April 23, 1955 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include children, Mary A. Luna of Topeka, Christopher (Janelle) Cervantez of Topeka, Richard P. (Cynthia) Cervantez of Topeka, Paul A (Margie) Cervantez of Topeka, Carol Cervantez of Topeka, Catherine Cervantez of Topeka, fourteen grandchildren, Kevin, Christine, Anthony, Valerie, Blake, Collin, Matalyn, Andrea, Brian, Matthew, Aaron, Victoria, Jessica and Glen Jr., twenty-two great-grandchildren and his sister, Delores Vega of Topeka.
Frank was preceded in death by his five sisters, Caroline, Margaret, Lola C, Isabelle, Guadalupe, and six brothers, Joe, Philip, Tony, Manuel, Memo and Ernesto.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
